On Wednesday night, 80’s night at the Delta Center. Collin Sexton had a season-high of 26 points. while Lauri Markannen marked his return to the court with an impressive 23 points, leading the Utah Jazz(8-16) to a 117-113 victory over the New York Knicks(13-10).
“I was just reading the game and just picking and choosing what they gave me. Don’t try to overdrive or get too far in the lane,” Sexton said. “Just play. Don’t try to overthink.”
Julius Randle had his third 30+ point performance in the last four games. With 32 points and 12 rebounds for New York, but only scored on two free throws in the fourth quarter.
Jalen Brunson scored 23 points last night.
“You could say shots are not falling, whatever,” Brunson said. “We got to control what we can control and that just starts with hustle on the defensive side of the ball. We just got to be better.”
Donte Divincenzo had a notable performance for the Knicks, adding 20 points. Tough break with the three consecutive road losses – hopefully they bounce back, as they have four more games on this road trip.
What’s Next? The Knicks are at the Phoenix Suns Friday night at 10p ET
