What a weird week 14 it was in the NFL.

It got started with the Steelers(7-5) losing to the Patriots(2-10). Pittsburgh is the first team in NFL History with over a .500 record, to lose back-to-back games, to teams that had less than 3 total wins.

QB Baker Mayfield led the Buccaneers on a game winning drive to beat the Falcons 29-25, and take the lead in the NFC South Division.

The Bears and Jets both got double digit wins over teams in the playoff hunt. Bears beat the Lions 28-13 and the Jets beat the Texans 30-6 in a defensive masterclass.

The Cleveland Browns were the ONLY 7-5 team in the AFC to win on Sunday, beating the 8-4 Jaguars 31-27. The Browns now have a 1 game cushion on all AFC teams for the top spot in the wildcard race.

There are quite a few good coming up in Week 15, and it was honestly hard to pick only 3.

So without further ado, HERE are the 3 games you should watch in Week 15.

Game One.

Denver Broncos (7-6) at Detroit Lions (9-4)
Game starts Saturday Night, at 8:15 PM (EST) on NFL Network.

Both teams are in the playoff hunt. The Lions are in first place in the NFC North, while the Broncos are just barely on the outside looking for a wildcard spot. This is a game of opposite momentum. Denver has won 4 out of their last 5 games, while Detroit has lost 2 of their last 3. The Lions look tired and in need of a break. The Broncos look to be coming into their own. Broncos QB Russell Wilson has been cooking lately, making the throws that we were used to seeing while he was in Seattle. Lions QB Jared Goff has been making the mistakes that he didn’t make last season, when Detroit made their late season push, last year.

My Prediction – This is a 50/50 game. I’ll simply take the home team.
Lions win 27-24.

Game Two.

Chicago Bears (5-8) at Cleveland Browns (8-5).
Game starts at 1:00 PM (EST) on FOX.

QB Joe Flacco has the Browns offense actually putting up points. The former Super Bowl MVP is the 4th QB to start for Cleveland this season, due to injuries. This team just suits him. Browns have a strong running game, so play action passes are effective, and they have the #1 ranked defense. Chicago has been doing just enough to win their last 2 games. QB Justin Fields legs and running ability makes him dangerous.

My Prediction – I think this one is a close game. The Browns are the most injury riddled team in all of the NFL. This one just has nailbiter written all over it. Remember this, the Browns are 6-1 at home this season.
Browns win 24-21.

Game Three.

Dallas Cowboys (10-3) at Buffalo Bills (7-6).
Game starts at 4:25 PM (EST) on FOX.

Harken back to the days of the early 1990’s with this one. You remember those shootouts between Troy Aikman and Jim Kelly. HB’s Emmitt Smith and Thurman Thomas running wild. WR’s Michael Irvin and Andre Reed. Cowboys DE’s Leon Lett and Charles Haley with Bills DE Bruce Smith on the other side. Those were the days. Now that I’m done with my nostalgia, let’s get back to 2023.

Both teams have franchise QBs, leading their teams. Cowboys QB Dak Prescott is in the running for NFL MVP this season. Bills QB Josh Allen has been up and down all season long. He’s thrown at least 1 interception in 11 of the Bills 13 games played this season. Both defenses are ranked in the top half of the league as well.

My Prediction – This is a hard one. I can see this being a high scoring and a low scoring game. I simply think that the Bills secondary won’t hold up to the Cowboys wide receiver core throughout the whole game. CeeDee Lamb is cooking this season!
Cowboys win 31-27.

"People ask me what I do in the winter when there's no baseball. I'll tell you what I do. I stare out the window and wait for spring."
