Mark Stone had a four-point performance, clinching the Golden Knights’ 5-4 victory against the Calgary Flames at T-Mobile Arena on Tuesday night. His highlight reel goal came just 1:10 into overtime, on the assist from Eichel. Stone’s impressive night included 2 goals and 2 assists.

Chandler Stephenson extended his goal-scoring streak to three games, while Jonathan Marchessault contributed with three assists. The Golden Knights, with a record of 20-5-5, secured a point for the ninth consecutive game, going 6-0-3. Logan Thompson kept them in it with 27 saves.

The first period wasn’t short on action, with a total of 29 shots on goal. Despite all the action each team only notched 1 goal a pier in the opening period.

Flames defenseman MacKenzie Weegar opened up the scoring at 6:27 into the game. Weegar grabbed a long rebound and launched a shot past a Thompson, courtesy of teammate Nic Hague setting a screen, to take a 1-0 lead. Stephenson responded for the Golden Knights at 13:33 with a power-play goal, marking his third goal in four days after a scoreless streak of 20 games.

In the second period Naren Khadri came out and quickly put the Flames back ahead 2-1, but the Golden Knights maintained their momentum, outshooting the Flames 15-4. Ivan Barbashev tied the game at 2-2, but the Flames reclaimed the lead 3-2 as Yegor Sharangovich’s shot, initially blocked by Thompson, managed to trickle past his pad.

Stone tied the game early third period on a power-play. Working his way down the slot, with the pass from William Karlsson, and executing a forehand-backhand move to outsmart Wolf. Karlsson’s shot from his knees, with just under four minutes left, gave the Golden Knights their first lead. However, Sharangovich’s 2nd goal was the equalizer with an extra attacker on the ice.
