The 2023-24 season has been marred by big time injuries for the Cleveland Browns.

Pro Bowl HB Nick Chubb.

Starting RT Jack Conklin.

Starting QB Deshaun Watson.

Veteran S Rodney McLeod.

You can now add rookie starting RT Dawand Jones to the list.

Browns head coach Kevin Stefanski confirmed today, that Jones will have season ending knee surgery, after sustaining an injury during practice on Thursday.

“I’ve seen Jones make great strides on and off the field. I’m disappointed for him, but he’s played well in a lot of these games, and he’s a young player that I just think will continue to get better.” Stefanski said at the press conference.

DaWand Jones was taken with the 111th pick, in the 4th round, of the 2023 NFL Draft.

He came in to replace Conklin in the very first game of the season.

At a massive 6’8″ tall, and 347 lbs, has been a brick wall and performed extremely well for a rookie this season.

This is a big loss for the Browns. As of now, they’re starting third-string James Hudson at RT and already have backup Geron Christian playing at LT.

The Browns next game is at home against the Chicago Bears (5-8), at 1:00 PM on FOX.

"People ask me what I do in the winter when there's no baseball. I'll tell you what I do. I stare out the window and wait for spring."
