The #7th ranked Ohio State Buckeyes finished the season with a record of 11-1.
Their only loss of the season came against their rival, and the #1 team in the country Michigan.
11-1 is a great season by any means.
There are literally over 100 FBS football programs that would love to have that kind of season.
While the regular season may have ended in disappointment, the final game of the season has been announced.
#7 Ohio State will play the 9th ranked Missouri Tigers (10-2) in the Cotton Bowl.

The first game was played on January 1st, 1937 and has been played every year since.
The Goodyear Cotton Bowl Classic is one of the most prestigious bowls in all of college football and has an incredible history of all-time great games.
From the 1970 game (Notre Dame vs Texas) to the 1997 game (BYU vs Kansas State), to last season’s thriller between USC and Tulane.
Since 2014, the Cotton Bowl has been one of the “New Year’s Six Bowls” and is also in the rotation of bowls that play host to one of the two, national semi-final playoff games.
- Both teams have QB’s that have thrown for over 3,000 yards (McCord for Ohio State and Cook at Missouri).
- Both teams have a WR that went for over 1,000 yards receiving (Harrison Jr for Ohio State and Bolden for Missouri.
- Both teams have Top 40 defenses (Ohio State ranked 3rd and Missouri ranked 38th).
This season’s game will be played on December 29th, at AT&T Stadium in Arlington, Texas.
