The NFL could be rebranded as News Frequently Loading as there are very few dull moments. Late breaking news has emerged that former AZ Cardinals TE Zach Ertz asked and was granted a release, per retired NFL DT @JJWATT.

As this news drops, a collection of teams from the Cowboys, Bills, and even Denver are heating up the rumor sheets. The most intriguing suitors appear to be a flock of birds back East, one with familiar ties to the Philadelphia Eagles. Ertz is seeking a spot with a contender, and the Eagles fit the bill.
The Eagles also had a premier QB in Jalen Hurts. The best feather in their cap with Philly is a familiar landing spot for Ertz as he was the Eagles 2013 second-round pick and a member of their fable Super Bowl LII winning run years later. This could be an easy reunion.

Another dance partner could possibly crash the party. The Ravens have suffered a devastating loss as ProBowl TE and favorite target Mark Andrews was injured several weeks ago during the Bengals prime time game.
However, the blow has not knocked Baltimore from its winning ways, keeping the magic going last week in San Diego. The impact may be more severe as they enter an intense stretch with contests against the 49’ers, Dolphins, and Jaguars; not to mention the final contest against the rival Steelers. Lamar Jackson thrives when he targets Andrews early and often.
Andrews, who accounted for 6 of Jackson’s touchdowns, could be a blow to their redzone success going forward. Ertz may see Baltimore as a TE-friendly offense who, like Philly, has a premier QB and in remains serious contention for the Super Bowl.
Ian Rapoport reports that signing Ertz may still be a tough sell based on the nature of his contract; 3 million this year and 11 million next year.
However, for a team on the verge of making a strong SB run, this tag may be worth the cost of flying a bird home for the winter.
Jordan Shultz of Bleacher Report also cautions hopeful fans that Ertz will have to clear the normal waiver process with teams seeded based on current rankings.
