Week 12 of the NFL season is wrapped up and in the books. It was a weird one; up was down, left was right. The playoff picture continues to be a crapshoot, especially in the AFC.

Philadelphia continues to be the class of the league, by finding ways to win. Carolina just continues to show that it doesn’t have a clue what the team is doing, after firing now former head coach Frank Reich.

With so many starting QBs out with injury, we are really seeing what these backups are made of.

Some are showing they can handle it, and some are starting to come back down to earth.

So, without further ado, here are the three games that you should watch in Week 13.

Please note: the Buffalo Bills, Chicago Bears, Las Vegas Raiders, Minnesota Vikings, New York Giants, Baltimore Ravens, all have byes this week.

Game One:

San Francisco 49ers (8-3) at Philadelphia Eagles (10-1).
Game starts at 4:25 PM (EST) on FOX.

  • 49ers QB Brock Purdy has rebounded from his three-game losing streak well, with the return of LT Williams and WR Samuel.
  • Eagles QB has thrown more INTs (10) this season, than his previous three seasons. His completion percentage is the highest in his career as well.
  • Both teams have top 15 defenses. 49ers are ranked 4th overall in the league, while the Eagles are ranked 12th.

My Prediction – A rematch of last season’s NFC Championship Game. I definitely do not see it being another 31-7 blowout. The 49ers are playing better and the addition of DE Chase Young is already paying dividends. I expect a much closer game.

49ers win 31-27.

Game Two.

Denver Broncos (6-5) at Houston Texans (6-5)
Game starts at 1:00 PM (EST) on CBS.

  • The Broncos are coming in riding a 5-game winning streak.
  • Texans QB C.J. Stroud and Broncos QB Russell Wilson are both “cooking” lately. C.J. has 10 TDs to 4 INTs the last 5 games while Russ has 8 TDs to 0 INTs in his last 5 games.
  • Both teams have top 20 defenses. Denver is ranked 14th overall, while Houston comes in at 19th in the league.

My Prediction – Texans head coach DeMeco Ryans and Broncos head coach Sean Payton have their teams believing and playing well on both sides of the ball. With both quarterbacks playing so well lately, I’m expecting a high scoring game with only a few stops throughout.

Texans win 35-31.

Game Three.

Kansas City Chiefs (8-3) at Green Bay Packers (5-6).
Game starts at 8:20 PM (EST) on NBC.

  • Packers QB Jordan Love is starting to get it together. He’s thrown for 9 TDs and 3 INTs in his last 5 games.
  • Despite the resurgence of Love, the Packers offense is ranked 20th overall.
  • The Kansas City Chiefs defense is ranked 5th overall in the league.

My Prediction – I just have a funny feeling that this game is going to be a weird and whack-a-doo game. Chiefs are the better team though and pull away in the 2nd half.

Chiefs win 35-20.

"People ask me what I do in the winter when there's no baseball. I'll tell you what I do. I stare out the window and wait for spring."
