According to Washington State’s own reporting website CF.C and respected college football analyst Brock Huard, who broke the news Monday on 710 ESPN Radio, Cougars starting QB Cameron Ward has already received offers from up to 10 schools, including an offer from The Ohio State Buckeyes.

The “transfer portal”, which allows student-athletes a window to talk to other schools about transferring without penalty; doesn’t officially open until December 4th. Contacting players before then is actually against NCAA rules and regulations.

The Buckeyes current starting QB Kyle McCord simply hasn’t produced the eye-popping numbers that fans have grown accustomed to with past QB’s such as C.J. Stroud, Justin Fields, Dwayne Haskins, J.T. Barrett, among others. He’s also struggled in key moments and struggled in the first half of games, this season.

The offers according to the sources listed above, state that Ward has been offered $1 Million Dollars to leave the Cougars and play elsewhere.

Other schools being reported besides Ohio State are,

Miami Hurricanes
Texas A&M Aggies
Auburn Tigers
and even their Apple Cup and in state rivals the Washington Huskies.

Cam Ward started his college football career at Incarnate Word in Texas. He transferred to Washington State University in January of 2022.

In his career, Ward has thrown for 13,871 yards with 119 TDs and 30 INTs. He has a 64.6 completion percentage with a 144.4 QBR.
