The 2023 season has been full of nothing but bad news for the Cleveland Browns.

Somehow though, the Browns are still in the thick of the playoff race at 7-4.

Then, Browns fans saw something that made their blood run cold.

DE Myles Garrett, who is the NFL Defensive Player of the Year front runner, left the stadium in a sling, we all feared the worst.

As Monday dragged along, there was no word from the Browns.

Even my source had nothing for most of the day.

Finally, in the late afternoon, word got out that Myles Garrett suffered “no structural damage to his left shoulder.”

And with that news, you could hear a collective sigh of relief, from Browns fans around the world.

“I’ve played through things that should have sidelined me before. I’m going to continue to fight and I’m going to do what’s best the team and for myself. We have high hopes for this season and what we want to do. Nothing like this is going to hold us or me back. Going to find a way to respond.”

That’s what Garrett said in the locker room after the game Sunday.

The Browns have been absolutely decimated by injuries this season.

They lost Pro-Bowl RT Jack Conklin for the season, in the first game of the year.

They lost Pro-Bowl HB Nick Chubb for the season, in a gruesome injury in the second game of year.

Pro-Bowl QB Deshaun Watson was lost for the season, 2 weeks ago.

It was finally good to hear some good news for a change.

For the season, Myles Garrett has 13 sacks, to go along with 32 tackles, 12 TFLs, 3 passes defended, 4 forced fumbles, 1 fumble recovery, and he blocked a field goal attempt against the Colts.

The Cleveland Browns next game is Sunday against the Los Angeles Rams at 4:25 PM (EST) on FOX.

"People ask me what I do in the winter when there's no baseball. I'll tell you what I do. I stare out the window and wait for spring."
