It’s time once again to die on the hill I’ve been standing on since week one. The Jaguars can win the AFC and make it to the Super Bowl.
The Chiefs clearly have offensive issues, with their wide receivers leading the league in drops. I refuse to be a believer in the Dolphins, who haven’t beat anyone over .500.
The Browns and Steelers have the best defense in the AFC, but had major issues at QB. Jacksonville is 4-1 in their last five and look to take control of their division this week.
We head to Houston, TX as the Texans welcome in division opponent Jacksonville.
The Texans who are way ahead of schedule in their rebuilding process, have won three straight and four out of their last five. Head coach DeMeco Ryans has done a tremendous job with this group, but rookie QB CJ Stroud has been the difference maker.
As mentioned on The SnoozeYouLose Podcast (live on millions.co every Monday @ 7pm) I don’t think he’ll win it, but Stroud’s name has to start being brought up in MVP conversations.
He is playing like a seasoned vet with 17TDs and 5INTs. Houston is having an incredible season with its quick turnaround, but only one of those teams during this 4/5 stretch is over .500.
Jacksonville comes in with revenge on their mind after falling to Houston in week three. Strangely enough, the Texans have owned Jacksonville winning 9 out of the last 10 meetings.
The Jags know how important this game is with essentially the division on the line. You’d expect this game was circled on the calendar with Jacksonville looking forward to this rematch. Jacksonville has also done its best work on the road this season where they’re 4-0 on the year. They’re also 3-1 against their division with its sole loss at the hands of the Texans.
This should be a great game and I expect a high scoring one, as both of these teams rank in the bottom five in pass defense. I’m going with the revenge factor and the fact while they’re playing extremely well, Houston hasn’t beat anybody.
