Las Vegas—Tonight, David Benavidez, a former two-time super middleweight champ, will take on two-division beltholder Demetrius Andrade in a 12-round bout at the Mandalay Bay Resort & Casino in Las Vegas.

The clash of styles is set to unfold on Showtime Pay-Per-View at 8 p.m. ET/5 p.m. PT, marking the network’s final PPV boxing event. The fight will also be accessible in select territories on FITE.

Andrade, an accomplished amateur with a gold medal in the 2007 world championships and a stint at the 2008 Olympics, holds victories against notable opponents like Vanes Martirosyan, Willie Nelson, Maciej Sulecki, and Liam Williams.

Despite his skills, the cerebral southpaw has faced challenges securing significant fights. After moving promoters, he joined PBC and marked his debut with a convincing win over Demond Nicholson earlier this year.

Benavidez, ranked as The Ring’s No. 1 super middleweight behind champion Canelo Alvarez, is known for his aggressive and powerful fighting style. He was the champ twice but had setbacks.

First, he was busted with cocaine and stripped of his title. Second, he failed to make weight and lost it again. Since then Benavidez has fought four times, stopping opponents like David Lemieux and Caleb Plant.

Now he is facing Andrade, who, despite being a pro for 15 years, has struggled to land major fights until this opportunity.

While Andrade is fighting in a higher weight class, he presents a potential challenge for Benavidez, who hasn’t faced a southpaw since 2016. The question remains: Can Andrade capitalize on this significant opportunity against the big and aggressive 168-pounder?

My opinion? Benavidez by KO in 9. Let us know your thoughts on this fight! Boxing fans can chime in on X @vinquezada1 & @welikesportzpc
