With the signing of Super Bowl MVP Joe Flacco to the Cleveland Browns practice squad, some fans were wondering if he was going to get the start on Sunday.
Head Coach Kevin Stefanski answered those questions on Monday.
“Joe’s role is to support this team. He’ll be great in the room and great for this team.”
This means that rookie fifth-round pick Dorian Thompson-Robinson (also known as DTR) will get his second straight start.
DTR went 24 of 43, for 165 yards, 0 TD’s and 1 INT in Sunday’s 13-10 win against Pittsburgh Steelers in Week 11.
Head Coach Kevin Stefanski had a simplified game plan for the rookie against the Steelers. It was a lot of short, quick passes while letting the defense carry the load.
For Week 12’s matchup, will Stefanski ease off the reins a bit on Sunday? It is possible, considering Denver has one of the worst secondaries in the NFL.
The Cleveland Browns (7-3) take on the Denver Broncos (5-5) at Mile High Stadium. The game will kick off at 4:05 PM (EST) on FOX.
