The NFL is looking into whether the Bengals committed any misconducted surrounding Joe Burrow’s wrist injury following the Ravens game. The NFL rose concern regarding the team, that they may have not reported a known injury. Burrow came out late in the 1st half of the game.

After completing a short pass for a touchdown he appeared to be in pain and clutching his wrist. He headed to the sidelines where he was unable to complete a throw. They sent him to be examined and he was later ruled out for returning for the game. He has now also been ruled out for the season with a torn ligament.
A video posted by the Bengals Twitter account and later deleted sparked the controversy. As pictured above, Burrow was wearing some type of sleeve on his throwing wrist.
Bengals coach Zac Taylor said that he wasn’t aware of any injury to Burrow’s wrist prior to the game. Later Burrow said the sleeve was a compression sleeve, he was not injured, and that it’s not uncommon for players to wear them during flights.
It’s yet to be determined if the NFL will find that there was any wrong doing on the Bengals’ or Burrow’s part. The fact the Bengals account took down the aforementioned video is certainly causing a lot of buzz in the meantime.
If the NFL finds any wrongdoing the Bengals could be fined and/or lose a draft pick which would be yet another blow in a disappointing season for the team.
