With a history of facing adversities, the Pittsburgh Steelers’ RB Jaylen Warren finds his own path to success using only his own strengths, “Talent & Skill”.

Despite being an undrafted free agent in 2022, he was picked up by the National Football League’s very own, the Pittsburgh Steelers. Having a very successful college career at Oklahoma State University in 2021, his talent and skill set caught the eyes of General Manager Omar Khan and Coach Mike Tomlin. Fast forward to the 2023 NFL season, Jaylen Warren becomes the starting RB for the Steelers.

On the morning of Sunday Nov,12th at Acrisure Stadium, Jaylen Warren had his first 100 yard game in the NFL with a win against the Green Bay Packers 23-19. His character is also at a professional level that helped him reach this goal and is well deserved of being rewarded.

He later jokes around about wanting to keep his first NFL 100 yard game jersey by stating,

“It’s also a lot of money to keep it, it’s a business decision, you know?”

Jaylen Warren later stated that he did in fact keep the jersey and gave it to his mother. Warren said upon receiving the news from Coach Mike Tomlin that he is now the starting RB, Warren did not believe him and thought that he was just kidding around.

From being an undrafted free agent to now being an announced starter, running out of the tunnel must be an unbelievable feeling.

Warren’s combination of speed, agility, and power makes him a formidable presence on the field, showcasing his ability to break tackles and make explosive plays. Pittsburgh Steelers QB Kenny Pickett says in a postgame press conference,

“As a teammate, the way he goes about his business, how hard he plays, the way he practices, he’s one of the best teammates I’ve had in my football playing career, I can’t say enough great things about 30 and what he does for us”.

A history of constantly being looked down on has actually left a positive mark. Through hard work he earned his respect and admiration among fans and teammates alike.

Jaylen Warren’s possibilities are now endless and the sky’s the limit to reaching his full potential and fulfilling his childhood football dreams.
