Boxing mega star Tyson Fury and Oleksandr Usyk are reportedly set to face off in an undisputed heavyweight title clash on February 17, 2024, in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, according to Mike Coppinger of ESPN.com.

Fury, ( 34-0-1 , 24 KO) will defend his WBC title and lineal claim, while Usyk (21-0, 14 KO) brings the WBA, IBF, and WBO titles. Both fighters, aged 35 and 36 respectively, are coming off somewhat controversial bouts.

Usyk’s victory over Daniel Dubois included a disputed low blow ruling in the fifth round that allowed extra recovery time for the Ukrainian. That became the pivotal point as Usyk took over in route to a ninth round KO.

While Fury’s recent win over Francis Ngannou was tougher than expected, decided by a split decision over 10 rounds. It was extremely controversial as the MMA star dropped the lineal champ in the third round of a fight many already saw as a possible draw. It was not a great day for the sport of boxing.

The winner of Fury vs. Usyk will become the first undisputed world heavyweight champion in the four-belt era.
