Jacksonville, FL – On Monday, Jacksonville Jaguars receiver Zay Jones was arrested and charged with misdemeanor domestic battery following an altercation with the mother of his child.

The incident occurred during an argument over the child’s travel plans, resulting in alleged injuries to the woman’s neck, as reported by the Jacksonville Sheriff’s Office.

Police were called to the apartment around 2pm on Monday. Jones is facing charges of domestic battery causing bodily harm.

He was booked into Duval County Jail and later granted a $2,503 bond after a court appearance this morning. The Jaguars acknowledged the situation in a statement, stating they were gathering information and refraining from further comment.

Jones, who has missed six games this season due to a right knee injury, has recorded five catches for 55 yards and two touchdowns in three games.
