It was a disappointing season for the Cleveland Guardians.
Guardians fans were expecting to make the post-season. At the very least, make the Wildcard.
They finished the season 3rd in the American League Central Division, with a record of 76-86.
Starting pitching just could not stay healthy. It plagued the team badly.
24-year-old, right-handed pitcher Tanner Bibee led the team with 10 wins and an ERA of 2.98 this season.
25-year-old righty Emmanuel Clase led the team with 44 saves.
Once again, the offense was lackluster at best.

Third baseman lead the team in batting average at .282, home runs with 24, on base percentage at .356, hits with 172, he was walked 73 times, he was tied for most doubles with 36.
First baseman Josh Naylor led the team with 97 RBIs.
Left fielder Steven Kwan led the team in doubles with 36 and triples with 7.
The bottom line is that the Guardians need to improve pretty much everywhere. Rameriz needs some help on offense. The days of rolling out #1 starting pitchers from their farm systems, seems to be a thing of the past.
The Dolan Family (who owns the Guardians) are notorious for being cheap. With that being said, here are 3 “cheap to semi-cheap” players that they SHOULD sign, this off-season.
1) Teoscar Hernandez, Right Field.
2023 Season Stats: .
258 BA, 26 HRs, 93 RBIs, 29 Doubles, 2 Triples, 38 Walks, .305 OBP, .435 SLG.
3-Year for $16.5 Million a season.
When the 31-year-old, right-handed batter makes contact with the baseball, it pops off his bat. He has the power to take it out of the park, he has the speed to turn a single into a double, and he drives runs in. His season numbers would’ve had him leading ythe team in HRs and second in RBIs.
