Week 9 of the NFL season is officially in the record books.

What a GREAT week it was too.

Houston Texans QB C.J. Stroud set a new league record for passing yards in a single game, by a rookie. He threw for a whopping 470 yards and 5 touchdowns, to beat the Buccaneers 39-37.

QB Josh Dobbs was traded from Arizona to Minnesota at the trade deadline. He didn’t think he’d have to play on Sunday, let alone lead them on a fourth quarter, game winning drive, to beat the Falcons 31-28.

The Eagles and Cowboys went down to the final play off the game, in another classic game for that rivalry. Like my “brother from another mother” Louie Tee says, “it’s family business”, when it comes to those two teams.

I won’t lie, it was hard to find 3 good games for this upcoming week. With 3 of the best teams in the league having their “byes”, it was slim pickings.

So… without further ado, here are the 3 games, you should watch for Week 10.

Kansas City Chiefs, Los Angeles Rams, Miami Dolphins, and Philadelphia Eagles, are on their bye week.

Game One.

San Francisco 49ers (5-3) at Jacksonville Jaguars (6-2).
Game starts at 1:00 PM (EST) on FOX.

  • The Jaguars have won 5 straight games, while the 49ers have lost 3 straight games.
  • Both defenses are ranked in the Top 10 overall. San Francisco is ranked 5th, while Jacksonville is ranked 7th.
  • Despite both QBs struggling to throw touchdowns, the Jaguars and 49ers offenses are ranked in the Top 10.

My Prediction.

The addition of DE Chase Young gives the 49ers, arguably, the best defensive line in the NFL. The Jaguars offensive line has struggled to stay healthy this season. I think Bosa and Young are going to flashback to their Ohio State days together, and give Trevor Lawerence all kinds of problems.

49ers win 20-16.

Game Two.

Houston Texans (4-4) at Cincinnati Bengals (5-3).
Game starts at 1:00 PM (EST) on CBS.

  • Texans QB C.J. Stroud has thrown 1….that’s right, ONLY 1 interception so far this season.
  • Cincinnati has the 6th best offense in the NFL. QB Joe Burrow is on fire, now that he’s recovered from his calf injury. Houston is not slouch either. Despite having no running game, they’re ranked 14th in offense.
  • The Texans defense is ranked 19th overall, and are not getting to the QB at all. The Bengals defense is ranked 13th, and have 2 of the most under-rated LBs in the NFL leading the way, in Logan Wilson and Germaine Pratt.

My Prediction.

The Bengals are on FIRE lately, winning 4 straight games. I think that continues on Sunday, and the Texans come back to earth a bit.

Bengals win 31-20.

Game Three.

Carolina Panthers (1-7) at Chicago Bears (2-7)
Game starts at 8:15 PM (EST) on Amazon Prime Video.

  • #1 overall pick QB Bryce Young vs undrafted free agent rookie QB Tyson Bagent.
  • Bears WR D.J. Moore is going up against his former team. Carolina traded him to Chicago.
  • The Bears own the Panthers 1st round pick in the upcoming draft. If Chicago wins, they BOTH help and hurt themselves with draft positioning.

My Prediction.

This game is going to be so ugly, you won’t be able to turn away from it. The Chicago Bears have more talent on the team, on both sides of the ball. It will show up late in the game.

Bears win 16-13.

"People ask me what I do in the winter when there's no baseball. I'll tell you what I do. I stare out the window and wait for spring."
