We head to the United Center in Chicago, IL as the Blackhawks welcome the New Jersey Devils. Chicago is still in its rebuilding process as they drafted #1 overall pick Connor Benard.

The young center has looked as good as advertised, with five goals in ten games. Chicago is coming off a back to back grabbing their first home win of the season, defeating the Florida Panthers 5-2.

This victory comes off the heels of an embarrassing 8-1 loss to the Arizona Coyotes. Chicago was able to bounce back and take care of business at home.

New Jersey comes into Sunday matchup after a loss as well, falling 4-1 to the St. Louis Blues.

The Devils have started the season well on the road, as that was just their first loss away from the Prudential Center. Sitting at 3-1 on the road New Jersey looks to also bounce back against a weaker opponent.

During the St. Louis matchup, Devils star play Jack Hughes suffered an upper body injury. A scary moment for Devils fans and teammates not knowing the severity of the injury. Mentally I believe the Devils checked out during that game after the Hughes injury in the first period.

After being reevaluated, the injury doesn’t seem to be as bad as feared. Offensively the Devils offense could take a step back, but mentally knowing their best player won’t be out for to long has to be a huge sigh of relief.

The Blackhawks have yet to win a back to back game this season, let alone back to back home games.

After getting their first victory last night I’m hoping the team went out, and had a few drinks to celebrate finally getting a win in front of their home crowd.

I like the Devils to keep playing well on the road an improve to 4-1.

"People ask me what I do in the winter when there's no baseball. I'll tell you what I do. I stare out the window and wait for spring."
