In what seemed to be a whirlwind of rumors and talks the last few months, the Los Angeles Clippers have finally made a deal with the Philadelphia 76ers to land James Harden.

Over the last few months Harden has voiced his thoughts regarding a trade, and has missed the first few games in the 2023-2024 NBA season with his previous team, the 76ers.

So, when the deal becomes finalized Harden will be a Los Angeles Clipper. Harden will play alongside Kawhi Leonard, Paul George, and Russel Westbrook. As a part of the deal the 76ers also sent veteran PJ Tucker and Filip Petrušev to the Clippers.

In return, the 76ers received Marcus Morris, Robert Covington, Nic Batum, KJ Martin, a 2028 unprotected draft pick, two second round picks, and a 2029 pick swap.

Now that Harden is finally out of Philadelphia, what does that bring for the 76ers without one of their stars?

Are they still championship worthy?

Well, the 76ers still have MVP Joel Embiid, who has started the season with over 20 points per game. The 76ers also have breakthrough star Tyrese Maxey who also has had over 20 points a game thus far.

It’s only the beginning of the season, so it will be interesting to see how both teams adjust to their new roster.
