Trick or Treat? A spooky Ed-itorial of good and bad

It’s spooky season and with that I thought it would be fun to classify some good with some bad in the world of sports, in Halloween terms: Trick or Treat

Tricks:

Deshaun Watson – the Browns traded a bunch of first round picks while guaranteeing $230 million dollars to acquire the franchise quarterback. First it was rust but now it’s injuries derailing Browns fans the chance to see elite QB play since Bernie Kosar in the mid 1980’s.

Caleb Williams – last year’s Heisman Trophy winner isn’t putting up horrible numbers in fact 23 TD’s and 4 INT’s looks like a treat but it’s the fact that he couldn’t figure out Notre Dame’s defense. Also with two losses the Trojans are out of the CFP mix.

Jim Harbaugh – the Michigan head coach has the back-to-back B1G Champions poised to win the National Championship for the first time since 1997 however there is this thing going on……Connor Stalions, nuff said.

Aaron Rodgers – only 4 plays, 4 plays.

Braves, Dodgers, Orioles, Astros – win all those games in the regular season only to have the D-Backs and Rangers in the Fall Classic.

Treats:

Myles Garrett – the stud DE is having himself a DPOY season. It was the leap over the Indianapolis line to block a FG that is the giant Snickers bar in your bag of candy.

Coach Prime – the Colorado Buffaloes won one game last year and to date have four wins. The team is fun and they have been the talk of the sports world this fall with the flamboyant coach at the center of all of it.

D-Backs, Rangers – if you like teams that play baseball the right way, enjoy the World Series.

Taylor Swift – many could argue the whole Kelce-Tay Tay thing is annoying and should be a categorized as a trick but hear my out, it beats watching Jackson Mahomes dancing.

Ohio Valley Wresting – if you have not checked out the Netflix doc series “Wrestlers” I implore you to do so. Al Snow provides great storylines and with wrestlers such as HollyHood Haley J and Jessie Godderz (Mr. PEC-tacular) the OVW is primed for a breakout.

Tune into the We Like Sportz Show this Monday October 30 at 5:30pm EST as I will go over these Tricks and Treats while unveiling some new ones. Join us and comment with yours. Stay safe and Happy Halloween 🎃!
