With all the hype internationally around combat sports in recent years many have said things like “Boxing is dead” and “MMA is the Future”.

Well folks it is 2023 and if this year has taught us anything it is that boxing is back and stronger than ever! Boasting not just some of the top talent and a myriad of it in combat sports, but with social media stars and celebrity boxing with ranked boxers and Mixed martial artist sprinkled in we are seeing a rise in the sport popularity online, live and in PPV events…

A prime example of this will be going down this very weekend when international boxing super star Tyson “Gypsy King” Fury takes on MMA Heavyweight titan Francis Ngannou in Riyadh Saudi Arabia.. Of course this fight amounts to little more than an exhibition as Francis is not a ranked boxer. With that being said these are two generational talents that are putting the sports on their backs and facing off to prove who is the baddest man on earth.

Oh, and just to spice things up, Francis Ngannou is being trained by Iron Mike Tyson. I for one am extremely excited to watch this fight this wknd! The fight will be available here in the USA on ESPN+ .
