With Week 7 of the NFL season in the rearview mirror, it’s time to look ahead to Week 8.
All 32 teams will be on the field in Week 8, starting with Thursday Night Football on Amazon Prime, and ending with Monday Night Football on ESPN and ABC.
With injuries starting to pile up, it’s starting to be the lead story for many teams.
There are some interesting games to choose from this week.
So here we go again folks, these are the Top 3 Games for Week 8.
Game One

Philadelphia Eagles (6-1) at Washington Commanders (3-4).
Game time: 1:00 PM (EST) on FOX.
- They played a very tight, close and physical game in Week 4. Eagles squeaked by with a 34-31 win, in overtime, at home.
- Despite having a lot of talent on the defensive line, the Commanders have the 24th ranked defense in the league. On the other hand, the Eagles have the 7th ranked defense in the league, and is #1 against the run, only allowing 62.9 YPG.
- The Commanders have the 20th ranked offense in the league, under first-year OC Eric Bieniemy. The Eagles have the 6th ranked offense in the league. QB Jalen Hurts is listed as questionable (as of this writing), so that is something to keep an eye on.
My Prediction
Jalen Hurts is banged up, but WR A.J. Brown and that defensive line is heating up. Commanders QB Sam Howell has been sacked 40 times already this season. I foresee an ugly game for Washington.
Eagles win 36-16.
Game Two.

Jacksonville Jaguars (5-2) at Pittsburgh Steelers (4-2).
Game time: 1:00 PM (EST) on CBS.
- Jacksonville is on a 4-game winning streak and is 3-0 on the road this season. Pittsburgh is 2-1 at home this season, and all 4 wins, have been in one possession games.
- The Steelers have the 13th ranked defense in the league, and T.J. Watt has 8 sacks, and is going against the 2nd best team in pass blocking. The Jaguars have the 11th ranked defense in the league, and is the 3rd best against the run. LB Josh Allen has 7 sacks of his own.
- Pittsburgh has the 19th ranked offense in the league, and outside of WR George Pickens Jr, is struggling to find its footing. Jacksonville has the 9th ranked offense. HB Travis Etienne Jr. has scored 2 touchdowns in each of the last 3 games.
My Prediction
Pittsburgh is a tough place to play, even with the Steelers offense struggling. The Jaguars are rolling, and the offense is finally living up to its potential, after a slow start the first few weeks.
Jaguars win 27-19.
Game Three.
Cleveland Browns (4-2) at Seattle Seahawks (4-2).
Game time: 4:05 PM (EST) on FOX.
- The injuries continue to pile up for Cleveland. No Nick Chubb, Jack Conklin, Jerome Ford. QB Deshaun Watson was ruled out on Wednesday afternoon. Joel Bitonio, Denzel Ward, and Sione Takitaki, are all battling nagging injuries. That means that 31% of their starting players are either out or hurt.
- The Seahawks have the 17th ranked offense in the league, and are 5th in the NFL in team sacks with 23. The Browns have the 2nd ranked defense in the NFL, and have the 5th best pass defense in the league.
- The Cleveland Browns are 2-0 this season with their practice squad QB P.J. Walker starting.
My Prediction
The Browns are struggling on offense with all the injuries that continue to pile up. It’s been their defense and kicker that are keeping them winning. The Seahawks are a healthier team and playing at home.
Seahawks win 27-20.
