On Wednesday evening, following the exit of the Houston Astros in the 2023 MLB Playoffs, Dusty Baker announced to USA Today that he is retiring.
The Houston Astros will be on the look out for a manager once again, but this time for the first time since a couple of great years from both AJ Hinch and Dusty Baker.
Baker more than likely has finished up his managing career, or at least for the time being. Baker has had a winning percentage of .540 % and holding a record of 2,183 – 1,862 throughout his managing career.
Dusty was a two time World Series Champion, once as a player, and once as a manager. He also secured the title of becoming the Astros most winningest postseason manager, when they defeated the Twins in Game One of the ALDS.
