Cleveland Browns running back Jerome Ford has been diagnosed with a “low grade” high ankle sprain.

The injury is expected to sideline him for 1-2 weeks.

Ford had 11 carries, for 74 yards, and a touchdown against the Indianapolis Colts on Sunday, before he was injured in the fourth quarter.

Jerome Ford was drafted by the Browns with the 156th pick, in the fifth round of the 2022 NFL Draft.

Ford started his college career at the University of Alabama, before transferring to the University of Cincinnati.

The injury means that running back Kareem Hunt, will probably be getting the starts. It also means that Pierre Strong Jr, will see more time in the backfield as well.
