On this past Friday, the Cleveland Monsters kicked off their season for the 2023-24 AHL Season with their home opener.

The Monsters before the game released on their Facebook page that the organization and the Columbus Blue Jackets have a multi-year extension through this current decade.

President of the Monsters, Mike Ostrowski, had this to say regarding the extension:

“We are very excited to continue our partnership with the Columbus Blue Jackets which keeps together this all-important hockey connection in the great state of Ohio for years to come.”

The Monsters General Manager and Blue Jackets Director of Player Personnel, Chris Clark spoke regarding the extension as well:

“Giving our young players an opportunity to grow and develop both on and off the ice in a world-class environment like the one they have with the Cleveland Monsters is very special and we couldn’t be prouder and more excited that our partnership will continue for many years to come.”

Hockey will continue to be rocking at Rocket Mortgage Fieldhouse with the Monsters by the sound of it for those hockey fans in Cleveland….happiness remains!
