I must admit, when looking at the Week 7 schedule, there is not a lot to look forward to.

After such a great Week 6, there was bound to be some form of a letdown.

There are now no more undefeated left in the league.

The 49ers fell to my Browns and the Eagles fell to the Jets.

We still have one team that is winless, in the Carolina Panthers.

They have a bye this week, so we won’t be seeing them.

All of that now out of the way, here we go folks.

The San Francisco 49ers, the Dallas Cowboys, the Tennessee Titans, the New York Jets, the Carolina Panthers, and the Houston Texans, all have bye’s this week.

The 3 Best Games for Week 7.

Game One

Detroit Lions (5-1) at Baltimore Ravens (4-2).
Game time: 1:00 PM (EST) on FOX.

  • Both teams come into Sunday’s game with Top 10 defenses. DET at 6th and BAL at 5th.
  • The Lions have the 3rd ranked offense, while the Ravens have the 11th ranked offense.
  • We know the Lions offensive identity, and the Ravens are still trying to figure theirs out under OC Todd Monken.

My Prediction

This will be a defensive game, with some big plays mixed in. Ravens K Justin Tucker will keep Baltimore semi close, but they won’t be able to keep up with the touchdowns that Detroit will put up.

Lions win 27-21.

Game Two

Cleveland Browns (3-2) at Indianapolis Colts (3-3)
Game time: 1:00 PM (EST) on CBS.

  • The Browns have the #1 ranked defense in the NFL coming in. The Colts have the #24th ranked defense in the NFL.
  • Browns still don’t know if Pro Bowl OG Joel Bitonio is going to play. If not, they might have to move their backup C, over to fill the spot.
  • The Colts have won 3 out of the last 4, when going head to head.

My Prediction

The Browns are coming off an emotional win, where they upset the undefeated 49ers. They are still ravished with injuries. The Colts will be starting their backup QB for the rest of the season, and we still don’t have a timeline on Deshaun Watson’s return.

Browns win 26-20

Game Three

Pittsburgh Steelers (3-2) at Los Angeles Rams (3-3)
Game time: 4:05 PM (EST) on FOX.

  • Pittsburgh has the 14th ranked defense coming in. Los Angeles has the 23rd ranked defense.
  • Rams are having their 3rd string HB get the start because of injuries.
  • Who do you trust; Pickett-Pickens-Johnson or Goff-Cupp-Nacua?

My Prediction

The Rams are an entirely different team with WR Cooper Kupp back, and they still have Aaron Donald on defense. The Steelers do have T.J. Watt, but their offense doesn’t scare anyone.

Rams win 27-17.

Quote of the week

"People ask me what I do in the winter when there's no baseball. I'll tell you what I do. I stare out the window and wait for spring."
