Week 7 of the college football season is now in the books, and what a week it was!!!

We had 2 “hail mary” winning touchdowns, we had game winning field goals as time expired.

We had blowouts let have us channel surfing, and we had those nail biters, that had us glued to our seats.

There is a lot of movement and shifting in college football, and the Top 25 is no different.

Without further ado, here is the REAL Top 25 teams in college football. Not that bias crap from ESPN and The AP.

  1. Washington Huskies 6-0

That is right. You are reading that right. The Washington Huskies are the best team in the country right now. They welcomed a Top 5 team in and came out on the winning end of a dogfight. No pun intended.

Huskies QB Michael Penix Jr had his “Heisman Moment”, as he led his team down the field to score the game winning touchdown with 1:38 left in the game. He finished 22 of 37, for 302 yards, and 4 TDs.
Next game: home against Arizona State.
Game starts at 10:30 PM (EST) on FS1

2. Michigan Wolverines 7-0

Look, they played Indiana. They are supposed to win 52-7. Beat the teams you’re supposed to beat. QB J.J. McCarthy went 14 of 17, for 222 yards, and 3 TDs. Not much to say about this game.
Next game: at Michigan State.
Game starts at 7:30 PM (EST) on NBC.

3. Georgia Bulldogs 7-0

It was Vanderbilt. They should’ve won, and they did. QB Carson Beck went 29 of 39, for 261 yards, with 1 TD and 1 INT. HB Daijun Edwards had 20 carries, for 146 yards, and 1 TD.
Next game: against Florida, in Jacksonville, FL on 10/28.
Game starts at 3:30 PM (EST) on CBS.

4. Ohio State Buckeyes 6-0

The Buckeyes came into the game against Purdue with 2 of their top 3 HBs injured. They left the game with 4th HB Dallan Hayden playing. He did well, finishing the game with 11 carries, for 76 yards, and 1 TD.

QB Kyle McCord looked good, going 16 of 28, for 276 yards, and 3 TDs. WR Marvin Harrison Jr had 6 catches, for 105 yards, and 1 TD.
Next game: home against #7 Penn State.
Game starts at Noon (EST) on FOX.

5. Florida State Seminoles 6-0

WR Keon Coleman might have the “Catch of the Year”, with that beautiful one-handed grab in the first quarter. He finished the game with 9 catches, for 140 yards, and 1 TD. QB Jordan Travis is in some Heisman conversations, he went 23 of 37, for 284 yards, and 1 TD.
Next game: home against #21 Duke.
Game starts at 7:30 PM (EST) on ABC.

6. Oregon Ducks 5-1

They went into a hostile environment, in heated rivalry game, and damn near came away with the win. A 3-point loss to the #1 team in the country, is nothing to be ashamed of. QB Bo Nix showed why he’s on a lot of people’s Heisman list, finishing the game going 33 of 44, for 337 yards, and 2 TDs.
Next game: home against Washington State.
Game starts at 3:30 PM (EST) on ABC.

7. Penn State Nittany Lions 6-0

It was UMass. They did what they were supposed to do, win 63-0. Nothing more I can say. My buddy Matt thinks they should be higher. Win on Saturday and they’ll deserve it brother.
Next game: at #4 Ohio State.
Game starts at Noon (EST) on FOX.

8. Oklahoma Sooners 6-0

They were idle. They got to stay at home, watch some football, and eat some popcorn like the rest of us.
Next game: home against UCF.
Game starts at Noon (EST) on ABC.

9. Texas Longhorns 5-1

They were idle. They got to rest up and relax. Hopefully they enjoyed the games as much as we did.
Next game: at Houston.
Game starts at 4:00 PM (EST) on FOX.

10. Alabama Crimson Tide 6-1

Alabama got lucky to win this game. Back-to-back “questionable” flags against Arkansas late in the game. QB Milroe had 2 TDs through the air and added another one on the ground.
Next game: home against #18 Tennessee.
Game starts at 3:30 PM (EST) on CBS.

11. North Carolina Tar Heels 6-0

As I predicted, they were in a back-and-forth fight with the Miami Hurricanes. It took a big 21-point third quarter, to hang on for the 41-31 win. QB Drake Maye threw 4 TDs. WR Walker had 3 of those TDs, as he had 6 catches for 132 yards. It was HB Omarion Hampton that carried the load. He finished the game toting the rock 24 times, for 197 yards, and 1 TD.
Next game: home against Virginia.
Game starts at 6:30 PM (EST) on CW Network.

12. Oregon State Beavers 6-1

The beavers jumped out to a 13-0 lead in the first quarter and never looked back. The defense forced 3 INTs, had 5 sacks, and was in the backfield all day long. QB D.J. Uiagalelei went 14 of 24, for 266 yards, and 2 TDs.
Next game: at Arizona on 10/28.
Game starts at TBD.

13. Ole Miss Rebels 5-1

They were idle. Hope they got some rest and enjoyed the games on Saturday.
Next game: at Auburn.
Game starts at 7:00 PM (EST) on ESPN.

14. LSU Tigers 5-2

QB Jayden Daniels had himself a great game. He completed 20 of 27 passes, for 325 yards, with 3 TDs and 1 INT. He added an additional 93 yards on the ground.
Next game: home against Army.
Game starts at 7:30 PM (EST) on SEC Network.

15. Notre Dame Fighting Irish 6-2

The Jeweled Shillelagh will make its home in South Bend, IN for the year. The Fighting Irish were just plain dominate. They had 3 INTs, forced 2 fumbles, and had 6 sacks. They had USC QB Caleb Williams running around, like a chicken with his head cut off, all night long.

Fighting Irish QB Sam Hartman had 2 TDs through the air, and HB Audric Estime had 2 rushing TDs.
Next game: home against Pittsburgh on 10/28.
Game starts at 3:30 PM (EST) on NBC.

16. Utah Utes 5-1

The Utah Utes play smash mouth football. The want to control the line of scrimmage on both lines, and just wear you out. The defense only allowed 66 yards on the ground and had 5 sacks. The Utes leading rusher was a S. That’s right, a safety. Sione Vaki had 15 carries, for 158 yards, and 2 TDs. HB Ja’Quinden Jackson had 22 carries, for 94 yards, and 1 TD.
Next game: at #17 USC.
Game starts at 8:00 PM (EST) on FOX.

17. USC Trojans 6-1

There’s no other way to say it. The Trojans went into Notre Dame, got punched in the mouth, and couldn’t get their legs back under them. The positive is that at least the loss wasn’t within the conference. They still have a shot to win the Pac-12.
Next game: home against #16 Utah
Game starts at 8:00 PM (EST) on FOX.

18. Tennessee Volunteers 5-1

Tennesse won a tough, hard-fought game against the Aggies. It doesn’t always have to be pretty, you just have to get the W. HB Jaylen Wright led the way with 19 carries, for 136 yards on the day.
Next game: at #10 Alabama.
Game starts at 3:30 PM (EST) on CBS.

19. Louisville Cardinals 6-1

Louisville went into this game coming off an emotional high. They lost HB Jawhar Jordan early in the game. They managed to hold it together, and take a 21-14 lead into the half. The team that came out, wasn’t the same team. They 24 points in the 2nd half to get upset and lose their first game of the season. They still have a chance at the ACC title game though.
Next game: at #21 Duke on 10/28.
Game starts at TBD.

20. Tulane Green Wave 5-1

The Green Wave are a good team. Their only loss is to #13 Ole Miss 37-20, in a good game. With QB Michael Pratt now back from injury, expect the wave to continue to win games and climb the rankings.
Next game: home against North Texas.
Game starts at 3:30 PM (EST) on ESPN 2.

21. Duke Blue Devils 5-1

They managed to pull out the 24-3 win with their starting QB only completing 4 out of 12 pass attempts. 2 of them were for TDs though. It was an ugly game. HB Jordan Waters did have 13 carries, for 123 yards, and 1 TD.
Next game: at #5 Florida State.
Game starts at 7:30 PM (EST) on ABC.

22. Missouri Tigers 6-1

It was a back-and-forth affair with Kentucky, but the Tigers scored 18 unanswered points in the 4th quarter, to get the 38-21 win. They’re quietly trying to sneak back up here and catch someone.
Next game: home against South Carolina.
Game starts at 3:30 PM (EST) on SEC Network.

23. Air Force Falcons 6-0

My “Sneaky Good Game of the Week” was even better, than I thought it would be. Air Force battled it out for 4 quarters against a rough and ready Wyoming Cowboys team. In the end, the Falcons came out on top 34-27 with a 58-yard TD run by John Lee Eldridge.
Next game: at Navy.
Game starts at Noon (EST) on CBS

24. James Madison Dukes 6-0

The Dukes took the high-flying Georgian Southern offense and kept their butts on the ground. Just dominated them on defense. This is a sneaky good team, that is led by a disciplined defense and QB Jordan McCloud, who went 20 of 31, for 259 yards, and 3 TDs.
Next game: at Marshall.
Game starts at 7:00 PM (EST) Thursday Night on ESPN.

25. UCLA Bruins 4-2

The Bruins are just one of those teams that fights hard and sticks around. They are very young on offense. Once they figure out how to close out games, they will make waves across college football. Head Coach Chip Kelly has this team playing like they believe they can win every game.
Next game: at Stanford.
Game starts at 10:30 PM (EST) on ESPN.
