ONE: Fight Night 14 turned out to be a card for the record books.

We had a World Champion announce her retirement from the sport.

We had the youngest champion in company history make her first title defense.

We had a grudge rematch between two top level wrestlers crown a new champion.

Match #1

Lightweight MMA

Maurice Abevi defeated Blake Cooper by TKO at 4:36 of the 1st Round.

Cooper had control early, but Abevi hurt him with a right hand against the caged and swarmed him to get the stoppage.

Match #2

Bantamweight Muay Thai

Asa Ten Pow defeated Rambolek by KO at :25 of the 3rd Round.

Rambolek did a lot of talking coming into this fight. Claiming that the American couldn’t handle his power or skill level.

It was a fight of opposites. Asa Ten Pow was landing power shots to the head with ease. Rambolek landed leg kicks at will. Eventually, the American landed a brutal elbow and followed it up with a finisher on the ground, to get a big win.

Match #3

Heavyweight MMA

Mauro Cerilli defeated Paul Elliott by TKO at 5:00 of the 1st Round.

Cerilli controlled this fight from the start. He took Elliott down to the mat and never let him up. Constant pressure. Late in the round, he open up a gusher of a cut over Elliott’s eye. The fight was stopped by the doctor because Elliott had torn his bicep. It was a nice win for Cerilli , showing that he had more than just power.

Match #4

Lightweight MMA

Eduard Folayang defeated Amir Khan by KO at 1:57 of the 3rd Round.

This was a rematch from a fight 5 years ago, won by Folayang. Folayang had lost his last 5 fights coming in and Khan was hoping to get back on the winning track by getting that loss back.

It was a slow start to this fight. Referee Herb Dean told them multiple times throughout the fight to pick up the action. Nothing of note really happened, until Folayang landed the left hand on Khan against the cage and put him to sleep.

Match #5

Lightweight Muay Thai

Dmitry Menshikov defeated Rungrawee Sitsongpeenong by KO at 2:41 of the 1st Round.

Dimitry came in and dominated this fight. The Russian just beat him up, getting 2 knockdowns before the official called the fight off, after getting the 3rd and final knockdown.

Match #6

Bantamweight MMA

John Lineker defeated Stephen Loman by Unanimous Decision.

This was a fight between the top 2 ranked contenders and it delivered a close one. Lineker threw his trademark wide, looping punches. Loman threw the straight punches and landed leg kicks. It came down to the fact the Lineker’s punches did more damage and he was the aggressor.

Match #7

Catchweight (129 lbs) Special Rules

Xiong Jing Nan defeated “Wondergirl” Nat Jaroonsak by TKO at 2:42 of the 3rd Round.

This was a DISGRACEFUL display of officiating and is a big black eye on ONE Championship.

Xiong Jing Nan landed 3 illegal punches to the back on Wondergirl’s head, and the fight was allowed to continue. No, that’s not a typo. 3 illegal shots to the back of her head.

Everyone in the arena and at home could see that the 2nd punch really effected Wondergirl. She never got her senses back, but in typical fashion, she kept on fighting before it was finally stopped by the official.

Match #8

Atomweight Submission Grappling World Championship

Danielle Kelly defeated Jessa Khan by Unanimous Decision.

The inaugural match for the brand-new title, was a grudge rematch between 2 top level, female grapplers. Khan had beaten Kelly in February of 2021. Jessa was vocal and confident coming in. Danielle seethed over the loss and the talk by Jessa. She admitted to “freezing in the moment” two years ago. She knew that winning this match, would earn her the respect she felt she deserved.

Danielle came out aggressive from the start, pressing Jessa into the cage. Khan decided to jump up and giving Kelly a standing guard. Smartly, Danielle walked Jessa over to her corner, so she could hear instructions from her coaches.

Kelly eventually put Khan on the mat and the submissions attempts started. Khan was aggressive going after Kelly’s legs, but Kelly defended very well. Keeping her hips above Khan’s knees. Jessa finally moved behind Danielle after a misstep and took her back. After some hand wrestling between the two, before Kelly got a reversal and scored the only catch of the match.

Kelly was emotional in the post-match interview as she carried that new title on her shoulder.

Match #9

Strawweight Muay Thai World Championship

(C) Smilla Sundell defeated Allycia Hellen Rodrigues by TKO at 2:58 of the 3rd Round.

Smilla Sundell is the youngest champion in ONE history, at only 18 years old. This was the first defense of her title.

This was a F-I-G-H-T!!! The young champion came out with her usual high-octane offensive style pressure and never let up. Rodrigues did not back down at all. She stood and traded with Sundell in the middle of the cage and in the clinch. Punches, knees, elbows, everything but the kitchen sink was used in this fight. Head, shoulders, knees and even toes were stomped.

Finally, the pressure and the pace were too much for Rodrigues. Sundell caught her with some hard body shots, and she backed into the cage. After some punches, elbows and knees went unanswered by the challenger, the official stopped the fight.

Interview with Women’s Atomweight Champion Angela Lee.

The Undisputed Atomweight Champion Angela Lee entered the cage, after a package about her battle with mental health played for the fans at the stadium and on TV.

She hadn’t fought since October 1st, 2022. Where she moved up in weight and lost to Xiong Jing Nan by UD, for Nan’s Strawweight Title. It was a thrilling conclusion to their hard-fought trilogy.

Angela’s younger sister, who also fought in ONE, tragically ended her own life on December 26th, 2022.

Angela revealed that her 2017 car crash was an attempted suicide.

It was these events that inspired her to start a non-profit named “Fightstory”. Where she will now devote her time and energy through podcasts and speaking.

Angela laid the title down in the cage, which now made the Main Event for the Undisputed Title, instead of the Interim.

Match #10 The Main Event.

Undisputed Atomweight MMA World Championsip.

Stamp Fairtex defeated Ham Seo-Hee by TKO at 1:04 of the 3rd Round.

This fight started off like a snail in a rat race. The first round was nothing more than the fighters feeling each other out.

Things started picking up in the 2nd round as Stamp found her range and started landing kicks and punches, but Ham dropped her with a left hand at the 2-minute mark.

Less than a minute into the 3rd round, Stamp hurt Ham with a straight right hand. Seizing the chance, Stamp swarmed Ham with knees and punches. Ham curled and fell into the cage and the official quickly stopped the fight.

The win by Stamp Fairtex made ONE Championship history.
