Looking at the Week 4 schedule, you can see some good divisional games with some nice cross conference games as well. There are teams looking to stay unbeaten and teams looking to get their first win of the season. I’m going to give you the best and most interesting of the week.

Game #1

Miami Dolphins (3-0) at Buffalo Bills (2-1) 1PM on FOX.

Did anyone really think that Miami and Buffalo wouldn’t be in this spot at the beginning of the season? With all the talk about Rodgers coming into the division, people forgot that THESE are the two best teams in the AFC East.

  • Can the Bills defense slow down this high-flying Dolphins offense? The NFL’s highest scoring offense vs the NFL’s second stingiest defense.
  • Miami is about quick strike offense; Buffalo’s offense is third in average time of possession.
  • Bills QB Josh Allen is 9-2 against the Dolphins. 6-0 at home.

My Prediction

Cody Bass hits a game winning FG as time expires to give the Buffalo Bills a 38-35 win over the Miami Dolphins.

Game #2

Baltimore Ravens (2-1) at Cleveland Browns (2-1) 1PM on CBS.

We all knew that Baltimore would be at or near the top of the division but outside of Browns fans, nobody had them playing for the division lead in Week 4. Too many unanswered questions about QB Deshaun Watson had people guessing how the team would fare.

  • The Cleveland Browns have the best defense in the NFL. DC Jim Schwartz is moving DE Myles Garrett all over the defensive line, and with Za’Darius Smith playing opposite of him, they are getting pressure on all three downs.
  • Ravens QB Lamar Jackson is 6-1 against the Browns.
  • No Nick Chubb for Cleveland is devastating and has forced Kevin Stefanski to lean more on Watson.

My Prediction

The Cleveland Browns will win a hard, ugly, defensive battle and move to 3-1, with a 24-17 over the Baltimore Ravens.

Game #3

Tampa Bay Buccaneers (2-1) at New Orleans Saints (2-1) 1PM on FOX.

Nobody knew what to expect out of the NFC South to start the season and not many expected Baker Mayfield to have the Bucs tied for first place in the division. The biggest question in this game is…..Will QB Derek Carr play?

  • Saints HB Alivn Kamara is back from suspension and is going against a Bucs defense that hasn’t exactly been good against the run so far.
  • New Orleans OL is banged up and Buccaneers LB Lavonte David has 3 sacks and a FF in his last 3 contests against them.
  • Both teams have alternated “season sweeps” each year since 2020.

My Prediction

The New Orleans Saints will beat the Tampa Bay Buccaneers in a turnover filled whack-a-doo game 22-16.
