The Green Bay Packers have announced that they are placing All-Pro LT David Bakhtiari on Injured Reserved. By putting Bakhtiari on IR it means that he will miss at least the next 4 games.
Bakhtiari has missed a total of 26 games in the last 3 seasons due to a serious knee injury and also an appendectomy.
Bakhtiari hasn’t practiced since August 30th.
The ACL tear and the recovery needed to get back on the field has not been easy for him. He’s spoken about the numerous setbacks, including swelling, fluid buildup among others problems in his knee.
David Bakhtiari was taken in the 4th round of the 2013 NFL Draft, out of the University of Colorado. He is a 2x First Team All-Pro, a 3x Second Team All-Pro, and a 3x Pro Bowler (2016, 2019, 2020).
Filling in at LT for the 3rd straight game for Green Bay is Rasheed Walker, a 7th round draft pick out of Penn State University.
