Coach Fah’s Fantasy Football Weekly Week 2

Welcome to Week 2 of the Fantasy Recap!
Now that the dust has settled, a few things have become clear.

The Giants bounce-back win shows they are still getting off slowly to start games, but the weaponry and skills are there. They will have to contend with no Saquan Barkley for a few weeks (as I will mention in the injury list).

The Bengals may be in trouble. With Joe Burrow nursing his bruised calf, he might be out this week as well, although it isn’t as if he has been lighting it up in this 0-2 start either.

The Colts are A-Colting. Anthony Richardson with his first injury, a concussion received from running in a touchdown, is starting to take THE Andrew Luck route. He is doing too much to help his team win, at the sacrifice of himself. Maybe a high caliber running back would help take the relief off a bit…

Nick Chubb is out for the season. If that isn’t bad enough, Deshawn Watson is still their quarterback. The two hundred-million-dollar man has more rust than Nipsey Russell in The Wiz. More rust than Joe Dirt’s automobile. More rust than the Titanic… and he plays like he is sinking.

The Dallas Cowboys defense is real. Pardon me, Micah Parsons is real. The rest follow his lead. He almost single-handedly wrecked all the Jets and Zack Wilson’s best-laid plans as the young quarterback amassed three interceptions. Yikes.

Lamar must get used to his new weapons, but the offense still looked run-heavy even with all the shiny new additions. With Mark Andrews hurt and JK Dobbins out for the season, the air attack needs to become more consistent.

Now for the Fun Stuff!

Week 2 Big Boys-

  1. Kirk Cousins– 70.5% completions 634 yards 4 touchdowns
  2. Daniel Jones– 70.3% completions 321 yards, 2 touchdowns and 1 INT.
  3. D’Andre Swift– 175 yards on 28 attempts 1 touchdown.
  4. Tua Tagovailoa– 70% completions. 249 passing yards. 1 touchdown, 1 INT
  5. Bijon Robinson- 19 rushing attempts. 124 rushing yards.
  6. Mike Evans– 6 receptions. 171 receiving yards. 1 touchdown
  7. Nico Collins– 7 receptions. 146 passing yards. 1 touchdown.

Week 2 Can’t Get Right

  1. Kenny Pickett– Is it the quarterback or Matt Canada? Tomlin gotta figure this out fast.
  2. Deshawn Watson– Rusty Van Winkle. He better take some No-Doze and wake up. His late-game fumble lost the game.
  3. George Pickens– Who did he piss off? Matt Canada?
  4. Dameon Pierce– 31 yard on 15 carries? Who stole his Scooby snacks?
  5. Najee Harris– Averaging 1.6 per carry? Really, Matt Canada?
  6. Mac Jones– his offensive line is letting him down. 4 sacks… again.

Week 2 Bench Mob

  1. Mark Andrews is BACK! Got to give Lamar’s safety blanket. 5 receptions for 45 yards and a touchdown coming back from an injury. Expect him to be a mainstay for the Raven offense.
  2. Brian Robinson Jr. Even with a crowded backfield he stepped up this week with 19 rushing attempts resulting in 59 yards and a receiving touchdown. He may solidify his spot by week 3.
  3. Puka Nacua– Week 2, and we still have to bring up his production in Cooper Kupps’ place. 7 receptions, 146 yards and a touchdown. Pretty nice.

Week 2 Nope Nope Nope

  1. D’Onta Foreman– because, come on. DNP? Really?
  2. Cam Akers– no surprise. He was out last year. A healthy scratch yesterday.
  3. Miles Sanders– I just don’t have the faith he can be a #1 back. And he is showing that again.
  4. Deshawn Watson– I can’t. He just looks so out of sorts. The year off so far was a detriment, not a positive.
  5. Amari Cooper– I know folk still love him but an aging wide receiver that is in and out doesn’t do it for the kid. I will agree however, he is one of few weapons on the Browns so there is still some fantasy worth here.
  6. Devin Singletary– Bills. Running Back. Need I say more. I must stay away.
  7. Tyler Allgeier– He was what I thought he was.
