Jim Schwartz was brought in on January 17th and has been a god send to the organization already, letting players be free and let their natural athletic ability take over!

Superstar pass rusher Myles Garrett said he’s excited for his potential in Schwartz’s defense with guys like ZaDarius Smith, Dalvin Tomlinson and a plethora others, this is the best D. Line he’s been apart of and most experience as well.

Jeremiah Owusu-Koramoah can be his energetic, free, speedy from sideline to sideline player we all know he is.

Shelby Harris who just recently inked a deal to suit up for the Dawg Pound, praised Jim Schwartz, and he’s one of the biggest reasons he chose Cleveland. The newest addition said he considers himself, Myles Garrett, Dalvin Tomlinson, Ogbonnia Okoronkwo the premium guys…the guys that get things jump started!

Greg Newsome stated he loves how Jim is utilizing him in this defense and feels like man to man fits him best! When you have quarterback, ball hungry guys up front that’s music to a secondary’s ears because it leads to more turnovers!

From 2014-2020 as a defensive coordinator, Schwartz’s defensive rankings for points allowed were: fourth, 12th, fourth, 12th, 15th, and 20th.

In the Eagles Super Bowl championship year Schwartz set them up for success with the fourth-ranked defense in points allowed.

Everyone, all the way up to general manager Andrew Berry, has made it a point to lean on the expertise of the coach who has built elite defenses in Tennessee, Buffalo and especially Philadelphia, they won the Super Bowl in 2017. Will Cleveland be next?
