Terence Crawford dismantled Errol Spence Jr. in a tour de force performance, scoring a ninth-round TKO in the long-awaited superfight, to capture the Undisputed Welterweight Championship Saturday night , at T-Mobile Arena.
Crawford was in total control of the bout, Spence did all he could to answer Bud’s punishment, but his speed and combinations were so overwhelming, Crawford, landed 42% of jabs, 60% of his power punches, and 50% of his total punches which led to Errol Spence hitting the canvas multiple times!
The Megafight came to a stop in the 10th via TKO. Afterward, Crawford told ESPN’s Stephen A. Smith, that after Spence connected with a looping overhand left in the first two rounds, he thought to himself, “This is it? … It’s going to be a long night for him.”
During Spence’s post fight interview he said “we definitely gotta run this sh—t back” and he will exercise his rematch clause and we’ll see these two clash again, hopefully with a more even fight.
No excuses from Spence at all when asked about the fight, Errol showed nothing but respect for Bud Crawford.
Even though the fight was one sided they both knew what the sport of boxing needed, and of course what boxing fans wanted to see, two fighters with powerhouse names, both undefeated (Errol Spence 28-0 and Terence Crawford 38-0). Errol might’ve took the L but in the bigger picture, it’s a win!
