Cleveland Browns:
Bare with me, last year the Browns, let’s be honest, just went through the motions in games without much conviction, the secondary was below par, the run defence was non existent and the usual reliance on Nick Chubb was evident as ever, the QB position was a big question marks Although, Jacoby Brissett, was decent over his time in that spot, Watson took over and to be honest did as well as most of us expected considering his time out of the game.
Now that’s all changed, new Defensive coach, additions on the D Line, more offensive weapons and most importantly an offseason for Deshaun Watson to fully get back in the swing of things, don’t forget this guys stats in Houston, and the levels he’s capable of reaching, if the Browns improve a few factors they’re most definitely an under the radar pick for the playoffs.
Las Vegas Raiders:
Whatever could go wrong for the Raiders, has in every aspect so far, but they still have some foundational pieces, they weren’t actually as terrible as analysts/fans thought.
A change at QB just may be an upgrade due to Jimmy Garoppolo being comfortable in the system, and steadying a ship that needs some experience, they have one of the elite receivers in the game and an outstanding all round defender in Crosby that can change games. The biggest factor for this team this upcoming year is they’re under no pressure at all and that can be the perfect motivation to prove everyone wrong.
Tampa Bay Buccaneers:
The Tom Brady Show is over, offense was sluggish at best, defense looked tired and one dimensional, Baker Mayfield, takes over, a downgrade you say but a different mindset can improve the offensive side of the ball from the beginning, the Oline is back and we all know what they are capable of in that run game, counting against receivers that are as consistent as Mike Evans and Chris Godwin is a mistake they’re game changers and enders at any point they get an opportunity to play.
The defensive side of the ball has added some depth and talent along the line whilst managing to keep their backfield intact, if this team gets momentum going they’ll be difficult to beat and let’s not forget they’re in the “weakest” division in football right now.
Los Angeles Rams:
Last years Rams, were a disappointment at best, they were the team to beat before that and the standard was high, the loss of Von Miller hurt and it would only get worse with players dropping out of the team seemingly every week, without their stars this team lacked in most departments, whilst they didn’t have a 1st round pick in the draft. The Rams actually added some very interesting talent to the roster and low and behold those stars are back and as motivated to climb back up the ladder again as ever, it’s not going to be an easy task with two very strong teams in their division but if they can stay healthy with their experienced stars, and get some production around them, don’t count the Rams out of the hunt by the end of the year.
