In the last 5 seasons, there hasn’t been a QB more feared & respected than Kansas City Chiefs QB, Patrick Mahomes.

His accomplishments is nothing but legendary. Two- Time League MVP, 2 Time Super Bowl Champion, 2 Time Super Bowl MVP, 5 straight AFC Conference Appearances & Two 5,000 yard Seasons.

He’s almost invincible against anyone & everyone. Whether he’s trailing or blowing out against any team in the NFL.

He’s not human!
He feels no pain!
He has no emotion!
He won’t stop until you are beaten!

He’s destroyed teams that ended up having bad aftertaste in the following year or longer

2018 Indianapolis Colts:

Andrew Luck’s last game in the NFL as Indianapolis played against the Chiefs, in the Divisional Round, in a 31-13 thrashing. After this loss, Luck retired the following year and the Colts have been searching for their next QB since.

Hopefully, Anthony Richardson is their future as Colts QB. It’s odd that they haven’t lost a regular season game against the Chiefs since then.

2019 Houston Texans:

The Houston Texans had a 24-0 lead on the Chiefs, only to get blown out 51-31. It was even worse when they allowed 28 points in the 2nd quarter alone. They have been on a rebuild since with 4 head coaches in 4 seasons with 11 wins since 2020. Let’s hope Demeco Ryans can fix this team.

2019 Tennessee Titans:

Titans had their best season since 1999 only to be destroyed by the Chiefs. They haven’t won a playoff game since, and they had their worst season under Mike Vrabel since he’s been hired in 2022, at 7-10.

2019 San Francisco 49ers:

The 49ers blew a 10 point lead in the Super Bowl to Mahomes. After that Super Bowl, they had gone through a QB Carousel with five different quarterbacks along 3 different defensive coordinators. 2020 was the worst of their carousel derailing their season, along with the injury plague to everyone on the roster from star pass rusher Nick Bosa, QBs Jimmy Garoppolo and Nick Mullens to having to play in Arizona’s stadium since the city didn’t want them playing in their own stadium.

While they made the NFC Championship Game in 2021 & 2022, they had some heartbreaking losses.

2020 Cleveland Browns:

The Browns had their best season in decades only to be crushed by the Chiefs. The score is an outlier since Patrick got injured in the 2nd half, but it was a loss that lingered the Browns organization as they have gone back to their QB Carousel with five different starting QBs with Baker Mayfield, Case Keenum, Nick Mullens, Jacoby Brissett and now Deshaun Watson since, as they had a disappointing 2021 season at 8-9, in addition Cleveland had to trade a king’s ransom to get Deshaun Watson, from the Houston Texans.

Watson was facing rape allegations from 20+ women, inactive for the whole season in 2021 & was suspended for 11 games in 2022 for these allegations only for the team to go 7-10. 2023 is going to be their best chance to have one starting QB for a whole season with Watson.

2020: The Bills had their best season in the last 25 years only to be picked apart by the Chiefs in the AFC Championship Game. While the Bills have been a very solid team overall & play in the AFC East, they had basically fell down to being the 3rd best team in the AFC, where they haven’t made it past the Divisional Round. Buffalo had to watch the Chiefs & Bengals in the last 2 Conference Games in 2021 & 2022.

There are other teams that are too early to speak on at this moment.

2021 Pittsburgh Steelers where it was Big Ben’s last game as pro in the Wild Card, as they’re seeing if Pitt Panther QB Kenny Pickett is the answer for the Steelers.

If he can show he’s the man for the Black & Gold, that’s great but if not, let’s hope it doesn’t have them going back to the 1980s.

2022 Jacksonville Jaguars had a rough loss to KC in the Divisional Round, but I don’t know if they have a bright future with a young roster & QB Trevor Lawrence, yet you never know with the NFL.

2022 Cincinnati Bengals have been on a high upward trajectory after Joe Burrow’s rookie year which was just flat out bad in 2020.

However, the discussion on the Bengals will be the extension of Joe Burrow, and what happens to the roster on maintaining that same success of back to back Conference appearances. They already lost Jessie Bates, Von Bell & Eli Apple in the 2023 off-season.

2022 Philadelphia Eagles are an interesting team to speak on where they have a talented roster with a strong O line, great run game ,even if you take Hurts out of the discussion, great WR duo in AJ Brown, Devonta Smith, and Dallas Goedert emerging as a Top 10 TE, along with a great front 7 that came off with 10+ sacks from 4 players & the main man himself in Jalen Hurts with his dual threat abilities as a thrower and runner along with the payday he received in the 2023 off season.

The only few concerns I have is the lost of both Offensive Coordinator & Defensive Coordinator, from that Super Bowl appearance, on how do they can adjust. In addition to experiencing the loss of their interception leader (6), and league leader in Chauncey Gardner Johnson leaving for the Lions.

Can they make it back to a Super Bowl and win it in 2023? We’ll see if the Chiefs make it back the Super Bowl. Let us know on Twitter @WeLikeSportzPC what you think.
