The MLB All-Star Game is set for this Tuesday, July 11, in the Emerald City. This will be Seattle’s third time hosting the midsummer classic.
The record for a city with the most All-Star games is New York with 9, however those are split between the Yankees, Mets, Brooklyn Dodgers, and New York Giants.
In second place is the Windy City of Chicago with 7 games, but once again those hosting duties are split between the White Sox and Cubs.
Cleveland comes in third place with 6 All-Star Games, but all of those are with the same organization, Indians/Guardians. So if your basing the number of times the same organization hosted, the Cleveland Guardians shine the brightest.
Another All-Star record that Cleveland holds, tied with New York, is that Cleveland Municipal Stadium and old Yankee Stadium have the most number of MLB All-Star games played at. Both of these iconic, but no longer around venues, hosted 4 games.
The midsummer classic is always a wonderful time for the host city and historically speaking Cleveland rocks!
