According to UFC light heavyweight champion, Anthony Smith, former heavyweight champion Stipe Miocic is jacked and ready for a showdown with current champion Jon “Bones” Jones.

Smith relayed those comments on the Thiccc Boy show with Brendan Schaub. Smith said that Miocic is at the firehouse lifting weights and getting mentally prepared.

Stipe is a native Clevelander who volunteers as a firefighter.

Smith pointed out that Stipe is around 255-260 lbs of pure muscle with a total focused attitude. Some in the UFC have questioned Miocic’s attitude at times, because many feel Stipe’s feelings towards the UFC can run hot and cold.

The disenchantment is rooted in the disrespect or lack of promotion that UFC has shown it’s most decorated heavyweight champion.

Even though Stipe has not fought in over 27 months many like Francis Ngannou believe Stipe is still the guy, due to the ability to handle different forms of pressure, and an ability to counter all forms of aggression.

Jon Jones moved up a weight class to become heavyweight champion defeating Ciryl Gane.

Jones immediately said he wanted to fight Stipe and gave Miocic his props saying that the Cleveland native was the best ever at heavyweight.

No definitive date has been set for a Jones-Miocic fight but if and when it happens expect fireworks.
