OAKLAND – The Yankees were in Oakland last night for the second game of the series, coming off a lost the night before to the struggling Athletics, the Yanks needed a pick me up. Well, they got it.
Domingo German threw a perfect game against the A’s, allowing zero hits and giving up zero walks and STILL throwing under 100 pitches. German’s pitch total was 99.
This is the fourth perfect game in New York Yankees history, the first since 1999 (David Cone). This is the first perfect game pitched in the MLB since Felix Hernandez in 2012.
German’s last start he gave up more than 10 runs, so it is safe to say that German has figured out his stuff!
