On Tuesday, MLB shared on their Twitter account that Los Angeles Angels infielder, Eduardo Escobar, has officially became a citizen of the United States.

Escobar made his MLB debut back in September of 2011 with the Chicago White Sox, and has played with six teams throughout his MLB career.

Escobar has played in 1,306 games throughout his 13 year career, has 1,150 hits, 244 doubles, 44 triples (leading the National League in 2019 with 10), 162 homeruns, 622 RBIs, and has a slash line of .254/.307/.435 .

Congratulations to Escobar on his American citizenship. Escobar grew up in the Venezuelan state of Aragua, with four siblings as well.
