On Monday afternoon, the Talkin Baseball Twitter account released a statistic that is making MLB history currently, according to OptaStats.

The Washington Nationals haven’t swept any of their opponents in the last 90 series, and now hold the longest streak in MLB history.

The Philadelphia Athletics were the team that the Nationals surpasses, who went 89 series without a series sweep, from 1914-1917.

Hard to believe that not to long ago in 2019, the Nationals were World Series Champs.

That was also the only World Series Championship in franchise history.

Do the Nationals have the ability to turn their luck around? Let us know on Twitter @WeLikeSportzPC.

"People ask me what I do in the winter when there's no baseball. I'll tell you what I do. I stare out the window and wait for spring."
