The NBA offseason is already here, and NBA Free Agency will begin on this Friday.
Damian Lillard may be one of the most talked about topics this offseason, with rumors swirling on and off regarding if he will stay in Portland or if he will move on and go elsewhere.
On Tuesday afternoon, reports began circulating that following a team meeting with the Trail Blazers and Lillard, Dame is interested in continuing to stay in Portland, on two specific conditions.
Lillard would like the Trail Blazers to sign Draymond Green in free agency, and to re-sign Jerami Grant. The Blazers have also added with their third overall pick in the 2023 NBA Draft, Scoot Henderson.
Lillard has been committed to Portland throughout 11 years, and might finally have his invested time, come to a successful conclusion…in the very near future.
Lillard has played in 769 career games, averaging 25.2 PPG, 6.7 APG, and 4.2 RPG. During the 2022-23 season, Dame set a career high in points per game with 32.2. He is also a seven time all-star.
This past season had to be the most taxing for Lillard, scoring a career high of 71 points against the Houston Rockets on February 26, and also managed to score 50 or more points in a game for 15 games throughout the 2022-23 season. The Trail Blazers finished the 2022-23 season with a record of 33-49, and finished 13th in the Western Conference.
