The University of Georgia Bulldogs football team is known for winning on the field, but off the field they are getting a reputation for being bad drivers.

The back-to-back National Champions have had 10 incidents of players involved with traffic moving violations since January 15 of this year.

January 15, 2023 is the fateful day that a player and team staff member died in a reckless car crash that involved Eagles 1st-round pick, Jalen Carter.

In addition to the 10 moving violations, there are up to 60 additional moving violations since the start of the 2021 academic year.

The violations include: speeding, reckless driving, not following traffics signs and lights. Of the 60 or so violations roughly 30 have been committed since last summer in 2022.

The university had taken steps to try to educate the players on the dangers of poor driving practices, even before the deadly crash this past January. The school said it had designed programs that would “promote a culture of responsibility”, and is committed to continue those.

One of the most prominent repeat offenders is running back, Kendall Milton. He has been charged with 4 moving violations, and his car was on-site this February of an alleged street race. His car is a Lamborghini Urus SUV, valued at more than $200,000.

The Georgia Bulldogs are fast and furious on the gridiron, but their driving habits on the streets should be law worthy.

"People ask me what I do in the winter when there's no baseball. I'll tell you what I do. I stare out the window and wait for spring."
