The B1G announced its 2024 and 2025 schedule format this week. The conference which is set to welcome in USC and UCLA will be eliminating its divisions.

Also the conference announced that each team will have up to 3 protected games with a flex model format. Penn State was the only school that has no protected games.

What does that mean for The Ohio State Buckeyes? It means no more Big Ten East and also Penn State will not be on the Buckeyes schedule every year.

“The Game” will still be Ohio State’s last game of the B1G season and now with the elimination of the division’s could result in the two teams playing again in the B1G Championship game.

Also, the Buckeyes will now be making a West Coast trip 2 out of every 4 years starting in 2024 when they travel to the Rose Bowl to play UCLA. Ohio State in Los Angeles should be good for recruiting.

Here are the Buckeyes opponents home/away for 2024 and 2025:

2024: Home – Iowa, Illinois, Michigan, Rutgers, Northwestern

2024: Away – Michigan State, Minnesota, UCLA, Penn State

2025: Home – Maryland, Nebraska, Indiana, USC

2025: Away – Illinois, Purdue, Northwestern, Wisconsin, Michigan

"People ask me what I do in the winter when there's no baseball. I'll tell you what I do. I stare out the window and wait for spring."
