Last night the Florida State Seminoles attempted to end the #1 ranked Oklahoma Sooners in the Women’s College World Series.

The Sooners going into the game 2 of the best of 3 series, were riding a 52 – game winning streak. Florida St was determined to end that streak.

The game was tied through 3 innings, when Florida State got on the board in the bottom of the 4th with a solo home run to right field by Leonard. One run isn’t going hold off the Sooners, the Sooners came back in the top of the 5th inning to take the lead 2-1, with back to back home runs to start the inning by Sanders and Lyons.

The Sooners tacked on one more insurance run to seal the deal, and the Sooners extended their 52-game winning streak to 53 games, and won the National Championship.
