The Cleveland Browns concluded their mandatory three-day minicamp in Berea today, and many fans, and media members are liking what they see out of the Browns.

The offense looked good, but why wouldn’t they, since there isn’t any tackling allowed. I will admit the passes that Deshaun Watson threw were crisp and he looked poised. I won’t go overboard, and say that he is back or that all the rust is off, he has to be great in actual games for me to say that.

The receivers looked fast and Elijah Moore made some really nice catches. Once again show me in a game, but I liked the footage and it’s encouraging to see Watson’s ability to spread the ball around in the passing game.

The defense was active and the combination of Myles Garrett, and Za’Darius Smith should make Sundays fun this season. Garrett and Smith seemed to push each other, and had a friendly competition attacking in the drills.

Cade York kicked field goals and made most of the them so that’s great. Nick Chubb also said he is running for the spirit of Jim Brown this upcoming season. The Browns concluded the three-day camp with a barbecue as the team brought back 40 former players and their families.

Cleveland Browns 2023 mandatory minicamp has concluded and I’m not trying to be downer, as I’m very encouraged by what I’ve seen, just translate that to meaningful games this fall is all I ask. And yes, the ultimate determiner, minicamp was a success because no one got hurt!

Go Browns!

"People ask me what I do in the winter when there's no baseball. I'll tell you what I do. I stare out the window and wait for spring."
