All-Star point guard Chris Paul will be waived by the Phoenix Suns, per Chris Haynes of the Bleacher Report.

The 38-year old Paul will become an unrestricted free agent this summer, and available to sign with any team.

Paul will be leaving a Suns team where he reached at least the conference semifinals each of his three seasons in the valley of the sun. Paul reached the NBA Finals his first year in Phoenix, but lost to the Bucks in 6 games.

He is coming off a season in which he averaged 13.9 points which was a career low. Paul did average 8.9 assists, 4.3 rebounds and 1.5 steals per game.

The Suns want to get younger, and fired their coach Monty Williams, and recently hired Frank Vogel to replace him.

All indications are that the 12-time all-star still wants to play for multiple seasons, as well as, win the NBA championship that has alluded him.

Could a possible pairing with LeBron James be in the mix? Let us know where you think CP3 will end up on Twitter @WeLikeSportzPC.
