NFL star receiver DeAndre Hopkins has officially been processed by the league and is now elgible to sign with a new team. Should the Cleveland Browns pursue him?
According to multiple persons in-the-know the Browns are interested if not just curious. Tony Rizzo, the host of The Really Big Show on ESPN Cleveland, stated on his show that the Browns have kicked the tires on WR DeAndre Hopkins. Additionally, Adam Schefter on the Adam Schefter Podcast said, “I think we’re really talking about KC, Buffalo, NE and Cleveland.”
What’s also important is that quarterback Deshaun Watson of the Browns would love to reunite with his former receiver from their Houston Texans days. Watson said, “of course” when asked by reporters in Berea if he would want Hopkins on the Browns.
Another interesting piece to look at is the fact that Hopkins has joined Klutch Sports Group to represent him and according to Mary Kay Cabot of Cleveland.com, Klutch Sports Group represents mores Browns players than any other agency.
Bringing in an elite talent like DeAndre Hopkins to me seems like a no-brainer especially when the Browns appear to be all in for 2023 especially since head coach Kevin Stefanski is on the hot seat or at least the notice chair. DHop to Cleveland, why not? I know a guy wearing a #4 jersey would agree!
