The Cleveland Guardians hosted the LA Angels of Anaheim, for a 3 game series at Progressive Field this past weekend. The Guardians took 2 out of 3 against the Angels.

On Friday, the Guardians and Angels were tied 3-3 going into the bottom of the 8th inning, where Josh Naylor hit a solo home run to take the lead over the Angels.. but in the top of the 9th, the Angels rallied and scored 2 runs of their own, and ended up winning the game 5-4.

Now, on Saturday the Angels had a commanding lead going into the bottom of the 8th inning, at 6-2. In the bottom of the 8th, the Guardians came alive scoring 6 runs in the 8th, with Josh Naylor hitting ANOTHER go ahead home run in the bottom of the 8th… This time the Guardians held onto that lead and brought home the victory 8-6.

Then Sunday came a long… a beautiful Mother’s Day. Going into, once again… the 8th inning, the Guardians had a 1-0 lead.. the Angels scored 1 run in the top of the 8th to tie the game at 1. BUT ONCE AGAIN, Josh Naylor hit a 3 run home run in the bottom of the 8th to take a 4-1 lead for the Guardians. The Angels ended up scoring 2 runs in the top of the 9th, but the Guardians closer, Clase, shut them down for the 4-3 win.

Josh Naylor, has been on a tear, with 3 go ahead home runs in three days all in the 8th inning…
