Monday, May 8th, 2023 will be the NHL Draft Lottery. Right now there seems to be one team that is going to secure the #1 pick, and draft Connor Bedard from Regina.

1. Anaheim Ducks, 23-47-12 (58 points) – 18.5% – The Ducks ended the regular season with 13 straight losses, which will mostly likely land them the #1 pick in the draft.
2. Columbus Blue Jackets, 25-48-9 (59 points) – 13.5% – The Blue Jackets had a rough year, especially with the arrival of Johnny Gaudreau in Columbus, to say that the season was a disappointment is an understatement.
3. Chicago Blackhawks, 36-49-7 (59 points), 11.5% – The Blackhawks made some moves this past season, sending Patrick Kane to the New York Rangers, and Jonathan Toews looking to retire.. This would be a huge pick for the Blackhawks.

Many mock randomizations, have the Ducks, Jackets, and Blackhawks in the top three, quite a few have had the Ottawa Senators some how sneaking in for the #1 pick. The Senators have a 2.5% chance of landing the #1 pick. They also made a trade on March 1st, giving the Arizona Coyotes their first round pick if it is not a top 5 pick.
